This year 2020, our country together with the rest of the world is currently hit by a deadly virus called Coronavirus Disease, or known as COVID-19. This is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus which started in China.
In order to stop the spread of any infectious disease, we should observe proper precautionary measures to prevent COVID-19.
Here are some helpful tips to prevent the spread of the virus.
1. Try not to touch anything as you enter your home.
As you arrive at home, make sure to avoid touching anything to prevent the spread of the unseen virus. Wash your hands immediately or take a bath.
2. Take off your shoes.
It’s best to take off your shoes before entering the house. It helps to have a shoe rack outside or a place where you can stack your used shoes before entering the household.
3. Disinfect your pet’s paws if you were walking with them.
We know how much we love going out with our fur-housemate, but did you know that they are also at risk of manifesting the virus? So it is advisable to keep them sanitized as well. You can disinfect, wash their paws, or bathe them with soap and water.
4. Take off your outer clothing and put it in a laundry bag.
If you are exposed to office, market, mall or hospitals, it is best for you to remove all your outer clothing. Place them immediately in a laundry bag before interacting with anyone from your household.
5. Shower or wash all exposed areas as well.
Directly taking a bath upon arrival is one of the best ways to help stop the spread of the virus at home. At the same time, it makes you feel fresh and clean before going to bed.
6. Clean or wipe your phone and glasses with soap and water, or alcohol.
Our cellular phone and eyeglasses are some of the essential things we use every day. Disinfecting them from time to time could help prevent the spread of the virus.
