These days, crimes are very rampant and you will never know when it will strike.

To help us all be better prepared, here are three useful tips on how to secure the safety of our home:

  1. Don’t forget to lock

Thieves typically work their way at night, when everyone is asleep. Make sure to keep your doors, windows, and all entry ways locked. These days, burglars work their way even at daytime so make sure to stay alert and use heavy-duty latches and locks.

  1. Install security cameras

And because some burglars are inventive, they can still get inside our homes regardless of locked entryways. In this case, security cameras are of big help in identifying the culprits!

One common problem for Filipinos is that most of the cameras available locally are of low-quality and that they are not positioned in a good angle. Make sure to install the cameras in an angle where it can gather enough lighting and where there is a good view of the passersby. It might be a costly, but security cameras are of big help especially if you also want to monitor your property even when you’re away.

  1. Do not expose your gadgets and other valuables

Keep it personal. You do not have to flaunt your gadgets for this will only entice thieves. In addition, make sure to secure your valuables especially when no one is around your house. Keep it in a discreet or in an area where it is less obvious.

We all have different experiences when it comes to ensuring security for our family. Trust is an issue for many. A bonus tip is to give our security details to the most trusted ones. Nevertheless, staying vigilant at all times will be of great contribution.
